Advocacy
The National Coalition for the Homeless works to bring about the systemic changes necessary to prevent and end homelessness and to protect the rights of people experiencing homelessness by engaging in policy advocacy. Our advocacy includes work in the areas of Housing Justice, Health Care Justice, Economic Justice, and Civil Rights. The centerpiece of our policy agenda is the Bring America Home Act, a legislative proposal of NCH that would constitute the federal government’s first comprehensive response to causes and consequences of homelessness. Visit the links below to learn more about our public policy recommendations, recent developments in Washington, D.C., and what you can do to help.
