Community Emergency
Shelter Organization
The Community Emergency Shelter Organization (CESO) was organized
in 1982 to facilitate the transition of homeless people from homelessness
to independence. CESO works to find creative, effective solutions to
homelessness and enhance the system of services for homeless people
in metropolitan Chicago. CESO currently operates three program divisions:
Partnership to End Homelessness, Management Support Services, and Homeless
Helpline.

Unitarian Universalist
Social Concerns/Task Force Against Homelessness
The Unitarian Universalist Social Concerns/Task Force Against Homelessness'
efforts currently focus on education and advocacy. The Unitarian Universalist
Social Concerns/Task Force Against Homelessness offers "BOB: A Homecoming,"
a drama of a college educated, middle class, middle aged man's experience
with homelessness, and "Homecooking for the Homeless," a cook book containing
over 50 recipes for 3-course meals that can feed 65 to 80 people for
less than $100.
