La Crosse

LaCrosse Homeless Coalition and Habitat for Humanity
Event: The LaCrosse Homeless Coalition, in collaboration with the UWL Habitat for Humanity Student Organization and the National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, will be showing the Madison-made documentary, Street Pulse.

The film, made by a Madison teacher and filmmaker, Marc Kornblatt, follows a couple who are homeless and selling the Street Pulse street paper in the capital city. It has been shown on Wisconsin Public Television as well as in film festivals. The filmmaker will be speaking in addition to showing the film.

We will also be joined by organizations that will have booths and provide information about their services and the populations that they serve.

This event is free to the public but we ask that, if possible, a donation of a non-perishable food item be presented.—All donations will benefit the Lacrosse Salvation Army.
